What do I need to bring on the daily hiking or kayak trips? Water and an adventurous spirit. It is okay to bring binoculars and cameras at your own risk.
What do I wear when kayaking or hiking? Shoes: When hiking support and comfort is the key. Make sure that your shoes have deep traction and are not worn on the bottom. When kayaking, water socks or sandals are the best, but not necessary.
Clothes: Quick dry pants are always the best, but jeans will work fine. It is best to be comfortable.
Shirts/Jacket: When doing any type of outdoor activity it is best to dress in layers and always dress for the weather. We recommend a Windbreaker for your outer layer.
Will I get wet on the kayaking trip? Since we are doing a water based activity, there is always a chance that you will get wet. We always recommend if you are not going back to your accommodations after you experience our trip, it is always a good idea to bring a change of clothes.
What is included in the price of kayaking? We provide the kayak, paddle, lifejacket, and transportation to and from your accommodations.
Can I request a specific location to go kayaking or hiking? We do our best to make reasonable accommodations and follow through on requests. However that is not always possible. If we are not able to meet your request, it may be possible to schedule your trip another time.
Can I bring my own kayak and join your tour? No. Insurance requires us to do safety inspections to preserve the quality of the trip. Occasionally we do Meetup groups where people are responsible for their own equipment and they sign waivers as such. It is possible to hire a guide. Call us for guide service fees.
Can I bring my dog? Yes, on certain trips. Call for special times and prices. Dogs must be vaccinated, carry a current rabie tag, and be socialized to other people and dogs. The owner is responsible for the safety of their dog while on the trip. We STRONGLY recommend the use of a pet life preserver.
What do I need to bring on extended camping trips? Besides clothes and toiletries, the only equipment you will need is a comfortable backpack. Our extended camping trips are all inclusive.
